Before entering clinical practice, Matthew worked in city planning and economics, experiences that continue to shape how he understands the relationship between individuals, systems, incentives, and the structural pressures that influence our lives. He has also written for national publications on men's mental health and remains committed to expanding conversations around emotional well-being, relationships, and healthy masculinity..

Tanzina Rahman, LMSW

Program: Private Practice

Therapy can feel daunting at times. It asks clients to open up, explore difficult experiences, and consider parts of themselves that may feel uncomfortable to confront. Tanzina Rahman believes no one should have to navigate that process alone. She strives to create a therapeutic relationship that is warm, honest, collaborative, and grounded in trust, one where she will laugh with clients, sit with them through moments of sadness, and respectfully challenge them to examine core beliefs, uncover hidden strengths, and create meaningful change.

Tanzina works with individuals navigating relationship challenges, career concerns, complex family dynamics, anxiety, complex and generational trauma, and significant life transitions. She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has experience supporting clients with emotion regulation, suicidal ideation, and personality disorders. She integrates psychodynamic and somatic approaches to provide trauma-informed care that is thoughtfully tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.

As a first-generation South Asian and native New Yorker, Tanzina understands that experiences of immigration, identity, and acculturation can bring unique challenges. She values culturally responsive care and strives to bring creativity, openness, and curiosity into the therapeutic process.

Above all, Tanzina believes therapy should be a collaborative experience. She is genuinely excited to walk alongside clients as they navigate change, build greater self-understanding, and move toward the lives they want, and she welcomes the opportunity to connect and explore how therapy can become a meaningful and accessible part of each client's journey.
